OSHE

Assalamualaikum..

Hi, Hello semua..
Lama tak singgah berceloteh kat blog usang ni..
Agak busy 2-3 hari kebelakangan.. :)

Okay, tak apa lah..
Hari ni nak kongsi sikit pasal OSHE..
Haa, mesti ada yang taw ada yang tak..
Tah apa-apa jea Dyana tu merepek kan..

Hee, sebenarnya hari selasa lepas Dyana pergi Kursus..
Biasa lah, bila dah kerja memang wajib kena pergi kan..
Eh, dah melalut membebelnya pun..

Jom, kita tengok sikit apa tu OSHE :)

OSHE is actually Occupational Safety, Health & Environment..
Usually OSHE is compulsorily for company and bound for those who work with it..
There are several terminology for it..

1) OSH:  Occupational Safety & Health
2) OSHA: Occupational Safety Health Act 1994
3) DOSH: Department of Occupational Safety & Health
4) NIOSH: National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health

All of this is formed after Factory Machinery Act 1997 (FMA) which only cover for construction, mining and related to it..
Since the industry have been growing, so they create this OSHE Act..

There are a lot of laws and regulations involve..
So, I will just mention few only ;)

The OSHE does not comply to the below units since they have their own act..

1) Armed Force (Army,Navy & Air Force)
2) Workers working on bard merchant ships

Other than that, the workers need to obligate with the laws & acts stated in OSHE..
If the employee or the employer fails to do so..
They will be punished upon conviction according to OSHA 1994..

1) Employer
- Penalty: RM50,000 or 
- Jail: 2 years or
- Both

2) Employee
- Penalty: RM1,000 or
- Jail: 3 months or
- Both 

Other related Laws are:

1) FMA 1967
2) Fire Services Act 1988 (FSA 1988)
3) Environmental Quality Act 1974 (EQA)
4) Uniform Building By Laws 1984 (UBBL 1984)
5) Petroleum (Safety Measures) Act 1984
6) Gas Supply Act 1993

It is important for a company to have a safety policy..
They will supervise by authority based on it..
Also, a safety & Health committee (workers) will help the officer to provide info from time to time or when needed..

There is an interesting info that I would to share..
Which is how loud is too loud for our ears..

Last but not least, let me share the ergonomic posture and exercise that can be done in office to stretching up..
